Wimmer's Porsche GT2 RS is all muscle
When Porsche debuted the monstrous GT2 RS in mid-2010, all 500 pieces of the 620hp top-spec 911 were sold out in less than two months. What Wimmer RS is doing now, is taking the base car and giving it a raft of enhancements to improve its already prodigious performance. The car gets bigger turbos, enhanced air flow, sport camshafts and crankshaft, timing chains, machined cylinder heads, pistons, connecting rods, a fuel pump unit, two manifolds with bypass and two 200 cell sport catalysts.
Zero to 96km/h takes just 3.4 seconds, after 8.7 seconds the 193km/h mark is passed and the speed of 290km/h is reached in 15.5 seconds. The claimed top speed is 389km/h. Hardly surprising when you have over 1,020hp (@ 7,340 rpm) and 1,108Nm torque (@ 5,680 rpm). All that power is transferred o the road via custom 19" wheels in combination with a three-way adjustable Competition suspension from KW. This particular car also receives a matte blue wrap courtesy The Cam Shaft company and BRUXSAFOL.
