Mcchip-dkr Ford Focus RS
04 February 2010

Quick as a bird and dressed with sporty elegance - these are the strengths of new Ford Focus RS. But in the case of Mcchip-dkr, still there is another characteristic to add; it’s as vigorous as a purebred sports car.

The well-known tuner from Germany has nicely attuned the performance to the vehicle. The result is not only uncompromising fun to drive, but fully suitable for daily use as well. The engine, completely overhauled by Mcchip-dkr, reaches an enormous 401hp.

Mcchip offers two power upgrades. Stage 1 transforms the stock 305hp and 440Nm into comfortable 345hp with no less than 520Nm. The extra oomph comes from software optimization, available for 799 Euro, and the car is claimed to hit 271 km/h.

However it is Stage 2 - for 4,499 Euro - that transforms Focus RS into a completely different animal by giving it a massive 401hp. That is enough to accelerate the RS up to 278 km/h without any problems. In addition to that the torque equals to 612Nm, which means powerful pulling power and a dynamic drive. The big power stage consists of an enhanced intercooler and sports exhaust system, modified inlet manifold, including tubes, special spark plugs as well as in-house engine electronics.
