Performance is the key competence of the McLaren Senna, the lightweight-design model from the British manufacturer, which is limited to 500 cars and named after legendary three-time world champion Ayrton Senna. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine produces an output of 588 kW / 800 hp and a peak torque of 800 Nm right out of the box.
NOVITEC offers three tuning levels for this super sports car. All three performance kits use the plug-and-play NOVITEC N-TRONIC module, which is adapted to the electronic engine control unit and introduces new mapping for injection and ignition as well as a modified electronic boost pressure control.
The most powerful variant unleashes an additional 75 kW / 102 hp of peak power and increases peak torque by 88 Nm. As a result, the McLaren Senna tuned by NOVITEC produces an output of 663 kW / 902 hp at 7,100 rpm. Peak torque jumps to 888 Nm, on tap at 6,300 rpm. This engine conversion also includes a NOVITEC RACE GTR high-performance exhaust system. This exhaust system is manufactured from the ultralight material INCONEL, which is also used in Formula 1 racing. The sport exhaust lets the turbocharged eight-cylinder breathe more freely and thanks to its extensive thermal insulation, it optimizes the temperatures in the engine bay.
NOVITEC high performance and lightweight design done the McLaren way combine to create an even more thrilling driving experience: From rest, the tuned sports car slings itself to 100 km/h in a mere 2.7 seconds. Not even four seconds later, after exactly 6.5 seconds, the McLaren Senna from NOVITEC already travels at a speed of 200 km/h. The top speed is 335 km/h. The NOVITEC tuning not only delivers further improved driving performance on the road or the racetrack, it also fascinates with an even more rapid throttle response and even more powerful torque.
While the bodywork of the McLaren Senna with its active aerodynamics remained untouched, NOVITEC together with Vossen, the renowned American manufacturer of high-end alloy wheels, developed a tailor-made tire/wheel combination with diameters of 20 and 21 inches for the dihedral-door car. The different diameters on the front and rear axle put even more emphasis on the wedge shape of the car.
The center-lock wheels for the lightweight-design car are manufactured using state-of-the-art forging technology and thanks to their seven twin-spokes extending all the way to the outer edge seem even larger than they actually are already. The NOVITEC MC3 rims are available in 72 different colors and also with a choice of brushed or polished surface.
The steering forces are transmitted by size 9Jx20 wheels and Pirelli P-Zero high-performance tires of size 255/30 ZR 20. Rims of size 12Jx21 with 325/25 ZR 21 tires on the rear axle provide high levels of traction.
