Range Rover’s new Velar, which sits between the Evoque and the Sport, is one of the best-looking mid-size SUVs in the market right now, no doubt. STARTECH showed off a modified version at the recently concluded Geneva Motor Show. All bodywork components are manufactured in OEM quality from PUR-R-RIM or carbon-fibre.
The Velar gets a more distinctive face thanks to the STARTECH front bumper, which replaces the production part in its entirety and sets itself apart with an integrated spoiler, larger air intakes and integrated DRLs. The new front can be combined with the production bodywork or the 16-piece widebody conversion that adds 60mm to the overall width. The latter is designed to be adapted to the STARTECH front bumper and production rear bumper with tailor-made attachments."
At the rear, a custom insert replaces the production center panel, complete with a faux diffuser and integrated exhaust cutouts."
Filling the bigger wheel arches are 10Jx22 STARTECH Monostar M wheels, fitted with 295/35 R 22 Continental tyres. The appearance is rounded off with the STARTECH ride-height lowering, which is available for all Velar models with air suspension. The suspension engineers programmed the module to lower the ride height of the SUV by 30mm while driving."
